Top NJ '22 St. John Vianney Running Back, Peter Pezzullo, Has Big Early Season Numbers
MARLBORO, NJ – St. John Vianney’s running back, Peter Pezzullo, had a huge junior season and expectations were real high coming into 2021. He has not disappointed. In 3 games, Pezzullo’s numbers are off the charts.
D1 offered, Pezzullo has amassed 423 rushing yards thus far and on just 35 carries – a staggering 12+ yards per carry. He has also scored 6 touchdowns, caught three passes out of the backfield and is relied upon heavily as a blocker in his team’s pass attack.
“Peter is a go-to guy," said GoMVB Analyst, Pat Marzo. "He’s a strong, tough inside runner but he is also a straight sprinter with serious speed. The most impressive thing about him is his ability to change gears. His burst and acceleration are that of a big time back."
Offers have come in from the prestigious NESCAC conference for the 4.4 GPA student athlete as well as D1 St. Thomas.

Pezzullo’s next game is Friday 10/1/21 against NJ powerhouse, Donovan Catholic.
