’24 IMMACULATA WR / SLOT ANTHONY BROWN PRIMED TO DOMINATE THIS YEAR
NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ – At the mere age of 15, Wide Receiver / Slot, Anthony Brown hails from New Brunswick, NJ and attends Immaculata High School. This is a young Class of 2024 athlete with pure natural field speed.
Standing just under 6’0'' and weighing close to 150 lbs without much time in the weight room, Anthony is already very muscular and naturally strong. His frame and build are ideal for a slot receiver, and he’s expected to fill out nicely with hard work in the weight room.
“Timed at a 4.8 in the 40 early, we project Anthony to be in the 4.5s when he fully matures,” said GoMVB Coach Pat Marzo. “Brown excels on the track team as well and we have seen that sport pay dividends for speed recruits.”
What stands out most about Anthony’s skill set his his route running and ability to compete for the ball. His routes are crisp, and he knows how to read a defender very well. He understands the idea of the double move and utilizes it to perfection.
“Anthony is also a ballhawk,” added Marzo. “Whenever there’s a jump ball you can count on him to come down with it. These two qualities are not easily coached and are especially hard to find in younger prospects.”
This off-season Anthony was grinding away at his craft competing in a 7v7 league and playing for the NUC Boardwalk Beasts as a dominant threat at WR and also as a great DB for them as well.
Marzo continued, “We’re very excited to watch Anthony dominate this season and we know he’ll definitely generate a lot of interest from coaches this year.”
