GoMVB Recruit, FRANCESCO BARONE – Ranked the #11th Defensive Back in NJ
MANALAPAN, NEW JERSEY – GoMVB recruit Defensive Back, Francesco Barone, Class of 2022 has been ranked the #11th DB in New Jersey by Prep Redzone.
Prep Redzone rankings are compiled after watching hundreds of high school and AAU/Club games, talking with high school and college coaches and evaluating statistics when they are available, producing a pretty complete list of the top players in each state.
“The ranking doesn’t surprise us. Barone is a highly recruited junior at the HUN School of Princeton,” said Coach Pat Marzo. “He’s a two all-time MAPL First Team Safety, and his weight room numbers are absurd. His bench is 320 lbs., his squat 415 and his most recent deadlift numbers jumped from 465 to 525 – and his broad jump is 10.6!”
“Cheech” (as those close to him call him) has a gifted frame, and the coaches at GoMVB project him to be a fierce and lean “in the box”, 6’2”, 210 lbs. wrecking crew at safety at any D1 level; and/or he can easily make the move to become a 220 lbs.+ Linebacker who can cover any back and TE the opposition has to offer.
To date, FBS offers for Barone consist of Army, Navy, Air Force and Kent State. UPenn, Princeton, Columbia, Dartmouth, Georgetown, Brown and Lehigh have offered as well.
