Princeton, NJ: When you speak about the Hun football team and Head Coach Todd Smith, one thing comes to mind when you see the recruiting class for the upcoming school year.

The opening to Wu Tang’s first hit way back in 1992, Protect Ya Neck – and this coach does it again and again.

The latest in a line of future Power 5 Division 1 offensive linemen is Class of 2026 star John Harris, who at 14-years-old is a 6-3, 280-pound specimen ready to get better in the top prep school program in the country.

Harris is going to get four years to learn from the best coaches in the country, and also practice and train year-round with a roster full of D1 talent. The one thing anyone who knows about the Raiders’ program says is: “These guys get so much better at practice, and it makes the games easy.”

Harris already has interest and invites to camps from Power 5 Big Ten schools Rutgers and Penn State, which have each benefitted from Smith’s program in the past.

In the classroom, Harris is also a very good student, and he works hard in the offseason conditioning: it is about being well-rounded for the freshman.

Here is a scouting report on the big lineman, who is going to see time at guard and tackle like so many of the talented players that came before him:

“When you look at him, it is hard to fathom that he is a 14-year-old. Then, when you think about the players that came before him in the program, you start to project what Harris is going to look like as a junior–let alone a senior–and you can’t help but be excited. He is going to be a very good player, and he joins a roster full of talent that he can both learn from and work against every day.

“There are so many Power 5 guys on the defense right now that Harris is going to get so much better this year alone, then he will gain muscle and strength next summer and do it again. People are very excited to see what he can become, especially with the way he works.”
