MANALAPAN, NEW JERSEY – Committed to Carnegie Mellon University, Chris Marzo, CB/S/Slot is now preparing for his first year.

“I’m excited to announce my commitment to further my athletic and academic career at Carnegie Mellon University. Proud to have been accepted into the Tepper School of Business. Thank you to Coach Lackner,” tweeted Marzo back in December 2020 when he made his commitment.

Tepper School of Business is the business school of Carnegie Mellon University. It is ranked among the world’s best business schools. The business school follows a highly selective admission policy. In fall 2020, 23% candidates were accepted out of the 3,295 applications received. Students of the admitted class of 2020 had high average scores and GPA of 3.88. Marzo’s GPA was a 4.83 at the time of his acceptance.

“Everyone at GoMVB would like to wish Chris the best of luck as he furthers his academic and athletic career with Tepper and Carnegie Mellon. He is a brilliant young man and a great athlete - we’re looking forward to watching him develop throughout his college career,” said Coach Frank Barone.

Chris had D1 offers from LIU and Sacred Heart with interest from Lehigh, Villanova and UPenn. His grades enabled him to make a list of his dream schools: UPenn, Carnegie Mellon, Johns Hopkins, University of Chicago and Washington St Louis. (all these universities are in the Nation’s Top 25) before ultimately committing to Carnegie Mellon due to their 5th ranked Tepper School of Business, campus and coaching staff.
