Lubbock Cooper High (Texas) corner, Ju'Raylin Shaw, showcases his world class speed with a 4.28 and 4.29 in consecutive 40's at the Sac Elite Camp in Florida.
TEXAS - Shaw had a 4.24 laser time on record as well as hand timed 4.25s and 4.30s on his resume. He stayed within those incredible, eye popping numbers this week in Florida.
GoMVB coach Pat Marzo had this to say, "When I first saw this player's numbers it was hard to believe. I then viewed some film and his speed and quickness were evident. His closing speed when the ball is in the air is nothing short of incredible and he also plays very physical. This player, while a track star, plays the game of football with a high level of intensity and toughness. His footwork, quickness and frame all point to a major college recruit."
Shaw showed real well at the Texas elite 7v7 and should take his conference by storm as a major player to watch.
Marzo added. "Everyone marveled at the speed of legend, Deion Sanders. I believe Sanders ran in the mid to high 4.2s. Current NFL corner, Jalen Ramsey, is a 6'1" player who runs a 4.39 to 4.40. While those athlete's accomplishments are rare to attain, its special when you see a HS kid with measurables that stack up. College coaches love to get a player with the tools to work with - Shaw has the tools, plain and simple.
