NJ ’23 QB Chris Lang, Jr. Continues to Rise Up Recruiting Lists after Big 2021 Campaign


Jersey City, NJ: What is one thing on the athletic fields around the country that cannot be immediately quantifiable?


You can see stats and measurements, but sometimes, a player is just a winner.

Hudson Catholic’s Chris Lang, Jr. is just that: a winner.


You only need to look at his record under center in his junior season with Hudson Catholic: Lang, Jr. took over as quarterback and took a team that had just one winning season in four years and had gone 4-7 and 3-4 in the last two seasons, to an 8-2 record in 2021.


Leadership matters, and so does a winning mentality: Lang has both.


It is not just on the field, either; Lang has a 3.75 GPA and has been on the Honor Roll every year in high school.


His coaches always speak highly of his work on and off the football field:


“He has a cannon arm, great pocket presence, can run with power out of the pocket, is effective throwing on the run, can run wild cat, pro set, run and gun and or all the above. He is a great student as well.”


With one more year to go for him to build on a fantastic 2021 campaign, Lang will no doubt have a lot more to add to his ever-growing honors list.
