NJ ‘23 Red Bank Catholic Caseys Goalkeeper, Scotty Termotto, Posts Record 2021 Campaign in Saves
Manalapan, NJ: Usually, a goalkeeper is not going to be the most active player on the pitch.
For Red Bank Catholic Class of 2023 Goalkeeper, Scotty Termotto, that was certainly not the case.
Termotto led New Jersey with 263 saves in 2021 in 18 games for the 5-13-1 Caseys and had two games of 20 saves. The big 6-4, 175-pound keeper, kept his team in games: RBC lost four games by a goal, showing just how close the team was to a half-decent campaign.
Termotto does a good job coming out to get crosses, using his big frame to jump and get the ball at its highest point, and can get down on the turf pretty quickly as well.
Here is a scouting report on Termotto from a coach he faced in 2021:
“The first thing you see when you look at Termotto is his size. He is every bit of 6-4 in net. Sometimes, at this level, that is intimidating to players: it looks like he is taking up the entire goal. He is pretty athletic: he did a good job keeping RBC in the game I saw ... He makes some unconventional saves at times as well, like with his feet.
“I think it would be interesting to see what he can do with some protection in front of him ... He was basically putting out fires the whole game against us. We finally got a couple past him, but it was hard work. I think he will be one of the top guys in the Shore next season.”
In the classroom, Termotto has a 3.3 GPA, showing that he will be able to do the work at the next level on and off the field.
