NJ Football Red Bank Catholic RB/LB Class of '23 Devin Mancuso Eager to Continue Run of Excellence in Final Year
Red Bank, NJ: The 2021 New Jersey football season was one of dreams for Red Bank Catholic.
The Caseys knocked off Depaul 13-8 to win the NJSIAA Non-Public B state title and finish the season 11-1.
For players like rising senior running back/linebacker Devin Mancuso, this offseason became about one thing: continue the dominance.
Mancuso, who has interests from a list of schools (UMass, Fordham, Wagner, Brown, UPenn), will take it upon himself to ensure the Caseys do not fall off after such a magical season. The 5'9", 192-pound star has been working hard in the off-season strength and conditioning program and as part of the Red Bank Catholic track and field squad to improve his times and stats. Mancuso was already benching 300 pounds before the last campaign, and that number has gone up: he was also squatting 400 pounds and has seen that increase too.
His 5-10-5 shuttle time was 4.29s, and he also has a 102-inch broad jump: remember, these were all before his offseason training.
Mancuso had a 3.1 GPA in the classroom before his junior year grades settled, and that number should see a bounce.

"I am always excited to see what underclassmen can do when they get a chance to step up their senior season on a very good team, and I think Mancuso is going to play a pivotal part in this title defense for Red Bank Catholic. He is going to be involved on offense since they lost about 1,000 yards of rushing. On defense and special teams, I think you are going to see Mancuso pick up more tackles.
"He is going to be showcased on a very good team and has a chance to make some noise."
