’23 NJ RB/FS Jt Goodman, Elite Student-Athlete for Hun School, Sets Sights on Huge 2022 Senior Season

Princeton, NJ: When coaches get a player like Hun’s JT Goodman in their program, all they can do is gush about the tangible and intangible benefits said player brings to the school community.

Hun School Head Coach Todd Smith has always been about building up student-athletes for more than just football (or track). When his players leave the campus for college, Smith wants them to be ready to succeed on and off the field.

Goodman is one of the players that is already set up to do just that. He was a quarterback at Howell before transferring into the Raiders’ program. Goodman also wrestled and played lacrosse to show how athletic he actually is. When he came to the Hun, he made a position switch and is now an elite running back/free safety: with his size (5-11, 195) and speed (4.7 40) set for a big jump in the off-season, the First Team All-MAPL, and First Team Northeast Prep Football Conference player is only going to get better.

Goodman also gets to practice and train with a whole host of future Division 1 players around him, which only will help him improve over the coming months.

But remember, Smith wants players that excel in the classroom at Hun as well, and Goodman does about as well there as is possible. Goodman has a 4.95 GPA and had a 5.04 GPA last year. It is no wonder that the Ivy League and top Polytechnic schools around the country have shown interest in this future Engineering student: he has that elite blend of athleticism and intelligence that coaches love.

Oh, and his SAT is already 1280.

He was a key cog in the dominant 9-0 season for the Raiders, and with so many other Division 1 players back in the fold, Goodman could help his team to another dominant season in 2022.
